New owner of venerable L Street Tavern vows it will remain exactly the same

Mark Medico has worked at the L Street Tavern in South Boston for more than 20 years, so he knows exactly what it’s like and what its patrons want – and he vows not to change a thing.

The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to approve a request from longtime owners Jack and Susan Woods to sell the place to Medico.

Medico’s attorney, Carolyn Conway, said that what she called “the venerable L Street Tavern” is “not changing in any way physically nor is in any way the operation of the premises.”
